Iowa High School Basketball - Pella Christian topped by Montezuma
November 21, 2023: Pella, IA 50219 The Montezuma Braves basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Pella Christian Eagles to 48 in the Braves non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Braves now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lynnville-Sully for a South Iowa Cedar contest on Tuesday, November 28. Montezuma will battle a Hawks team coming off a 63-40 non-league win over Madrid (Madrid, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-1.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont prevailed over Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA), 69-23, in a non-league contest.
