The Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) basketball beat the visiting Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 73-55 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league outing with a 0-0 record.
