The New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) basketball were winner over the host North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA), 56-42 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 26. New Iberia will play a Tigers team coming off a 59-57 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, North Central falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Ville Platte (Ville Platte, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, November 22.
