The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) and the host Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), observed Franklin's basketball team knock off Smithson Valley by a score of 62-44.

With the victory, Franklin advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, November 22. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 2-2.
