In Friday's non-league match, the host Hickory Red Tornadoes football squad scored a good 36-14 victory over the Franklin Panthers.

The Red Tornadoes (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Jay M. Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 11-1 record. In their last match, Jay M. Robinson thwarted Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 41-33, in a non-league battle.
