Carondelet Cougars (Concord, CA) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team smash the host Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA), 73-27 in a non-league contest.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Mira Costa was overwhelmed by Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA), 55-50, in a non-league match.

The Falcons now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Mine for a non-league match on Thursday, December 4. Colfax will face a Diamondbacks squad coming off a 56-41 non-league loss to Placer (Auburn, CA). The Diamondbacks record now stands at 1-1.
