Texas High School Basketball - Poteet victorious over LaPoynor
November 21, 2025: Mesquite, TX 75150 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Poteet Pirates basketball team scored a good 61-52 triumph over the LaPoynor Flyers.
The Pirates (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Salado notched a victory over Van (Van, TX), 58-36, in a non-league match.
The Flyers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kaufman for a non-league match on Saturday, November 22. LaPoynor will face a Lions squad coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Sanger (Sanger, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-2.
