The Bearcats hosted the Mission Bears in their first game of the 2022-2023 season. The matchup was a special one, as Head Coach Matthew Shea taught at Mission HIgh in San Francisco from 2017-2019 and worked with their team on and off during that time. From the kickoff, the match gave those in attendance plenty to be excited about. With several players out of the starting lineup due to illness and injury, the Bearcat starting line received boosts from junior defenders Ronav Poonekar and Shaan Patel and senior defender Gabe Wong.
