California High School Basketball - New Roads holds off Animo City of Champions
November 22, 2024: Santa Monica, CA 90404 The New Roads Jaguars basketball team scored 27 points and limited the visiting Animo City of Champions Wildcats to 21 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Jaguars now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Animo Venice for a non-league game on Monday, December 2. New Roads will confront a Pirates team coming off a 79-37 non-league loss to Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Animo City of Champions falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Lawndale (Lawndale, CA) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league game on Saturday, November 23. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 2-0. Lawndale won 56-50 in their recent non-league game against Fairfax (Los Angeles, CA)
