In Friday's non-league contest, the host Pasadena Memorial Mavericks basketball team scored a close 62-61 triumph over the North Shore Mustangs.

The Mavericks (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Manvel (Manvel, TX). The Mavericks go into the 6A Region III District 22 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Manvel was tipped by George Ranch (Richmond, TX), 45-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Tompkins Falcons (Katy, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 26. North Shore will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record.
