Arkansas High School Basketball - Augusta holds off White County Central
November 22, 2024: Augusta, AR 72006 The Augusta Red Devils basketball team scored 39 points and limited the visiting White County Central Bears to 36 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Friday.
The Red Devils now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Sacred Heart for a 1A Region 5 game on Tuesday, December 3. Augusta will confront a Rebels team coming off a 52-37 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, White County Central falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Bears host Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region 5 game on Friday, December 13. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 1-6.
