In Friday's non-league contest, the host Saltillo Lions basketball team scored a good 43-32 triumph over the Bowie Pirates.

The Lions (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Ropes topped Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX), 48-22, in a non-league contest.
