In Friday's non-league contest, the host Loris Lions basketball team scored a close 60-53 triumph over the Westwood Redhawks.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Redhawks battle the West Florence Knights (Florence, SC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 23. Westwood will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
