Virginia High School Ice Hockey - Briar Woods knocks off Broad Run
November 22, 2024: Ashburn, VA 20148 The Briar Woods Falcons ice hockey team scored 8 points and held the visiting Broad Run Spartans to 5 in the Falcons league victory on Friday.
The Falcons now hold a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Madison for a bout on Friday, December 13. Briar Woods will play a Warhawks team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Langley (McLean, VA). The Warhawks record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Broad Run moves to 0-1 on the season. The Spartans host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to play the Patriots in a bout on Friday, January 3. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
