Texas High School Basketball - Big Spring holds off Merkel
November 22, 2024: Merkel, TX 79536 The Big Spring Steers basketball team scored 35 points and limited the host Merkel Badgers to 31 in the Steers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Steers now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Greenwood for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3.
With the loss, Merkel falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Badgers host Forsan (Forsan, TX) to confront the Buffaloes in a non-league game on Monday, November 25. The Buffaloes go into the game with a record of 0-1. Forsan lost 33-29 in their recent non-league game against New Deal (New Deal, TX)
