Texas High School Basketball - Edinburg North thwarts Johnson
November 22, 2025: Edinburg, TX 78541 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) and the visiting Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), observed Edinburg North's basketball team knock off Johnson by a score of 64-50.
The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX). The Toros come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Cigarroa was knocked off by Medina Valley (Castroville, TX), 72-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 22. Johnson will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 50-43 non-league win over Rivera (Brownsville, TX).
