Texas High School Basketball - Katy can't hold off McAllen
November 22, 2025: McAllen, TX 78501 McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Katy Tigers (Katy, TX), 44-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, McAllen betters its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX) to battle the Falcons in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 2. The Falcons go into the contest with a record of 8-0.
Next up, the Tigers face the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, November 25. Katy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 48-41 non-league loss to Pearce (Richardson, TX).
