California High School Basketball - Downey holds off Escalon

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Downey Knights (Modesto, CA) and the visiting Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), saw Downey's basketball squad hold off Escalon by a tally of 81-74.

With the victory, Downey improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Gregori (Modesto, CA) to confront the in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 1. The come into the challenge with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Amador Buffaloes (Sutter Creek, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, November 24. Escalon will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 69-46 non-league loss to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA).
