The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Nash Central Bulldogs to 50 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hunt for a non-league contest on Friday, December 3.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Corinth Holders was defeated by Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 66-58, in a non-league contest.
