Texas High School Basketball - Gregory-Portland holds off Canyon
November 23, 2024: New Braunfels, TX 78130 The Gregory-Portland Wildcats basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Canyon Cougars to 51 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wildcats now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Rowe for a non-league game on Saturday, November 23. Gregory-Portland will confront a Warriors team coming off a 50-46 non-league loss to Katy (Katy, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Canyon falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Clear Creek (League City, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Saturday, November 23. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 4-2. Clear Creek won 62-35 in their recent non-league game against Rivera (Brownsville, TX)
