Texas High School Basketball - La Vernia holds off St. Pius X

The La Vernia Bears basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host St. Pius X Panthers to 61 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.

The Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Seguin was tipped by SA Roosevelt (San Antonio, TX), 60-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Covenant Knights (Dallas, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 26. St. Pius X will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 2-5 record after their 51-44 non-league loss to Legacy Prep Christian Academy (Magnolia, TX).
