The Carthage Bulldogs held off the visiting Pleasant Grove Hawks football team by a count of 34-31 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Carthage upgrades its record to 13-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gilmer (Gilmer, TX) to encounter the Buckeyes in a non-league outing on Friday, December 1. The Buckeyes go into the outing with a record of 10-3. Gilmer won 34-21 in their recent non-league outing against Aubrey (Aubrey, TX)

With the loss, Pleasant Grove moves to 12-1 on the season.
