November 24, 2023: Oakland, CA 94610 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA) and the host Oakland Wildcats (Oakland, CA), saw San Leandro's basketball squad hold off Oakland by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, San Leandro improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Pirates host Albany (Albany, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Albany lost 55-47 in their recent non-league challenge against San Rafael (San Rafael, CA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Las Lomas Knights (Walnut Creek, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 23. Oakland will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
