The Canyon Springs Pioneers basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Palo Verde Panthers to 41 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Lutheran for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 25. Canyon Springs will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 59-52 non-league loss to Lowry (Winnemucca, NV). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-1.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon (Henderson, NV). The Pirate enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon was nudged by Durango (Las Vegas, NV), 66-15, in a non-league contest.
