The crowd at Monday's non-league contest between the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) and the host Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), witnessed St. Joseph-Ogden's basketball squad notch a victory over Clifton Central by a count of 40-26.

With the victory, St. Joseph-Ogden advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Spartans host Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, November 25. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 1-2. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin won 54-28 in their recent non-league contest against St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL)

In their next game, the Comets battle the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL) in a River Valley contest, on Monday, December 1. Clifton Central will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 47-37 non-league loss to Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL).
