McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas (North Bethesda, MD), 72-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McDonogh upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Goretti (Hagerstown, MD) to play the Gael in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Gael come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Goretti won 67-48 in their recent non-league bout against St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD)

Next up, the Little Hoyas play the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings (Buckeystown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Georgetown Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 67-48 non-league loss to Goretti (Hagerstown, MD).
