The Lamar Texans basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Cooper Dragons to 38 in the Texans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Texans now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heights for a 6A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, November 28.

The Dragons (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Concordia Lutheran (Tomball, TX). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Concordia Lutheran ran past Varsity Opponent (, ), 85-45, in a non-league contest.
