Illinois High School Basketball - Jefferson nips Illinois Valley Central
November 25, 2023: Chillicothe, IL 61523 Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 51-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The J-Hawks host Guilford (Rockford, IL) to play the Vikings in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Wednesday, November 29. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Guilford lost 59-46 in their recent non-league bout against Naperville North (Naperville, IL)
Next up, the Grey Ghosts play the Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 59-52 non-league win over Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
