Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman tops Taylorsville
November 25, 2023: Quitman, MS 39355 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) and the visiting Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS), saw Quitman's basketball squad knock off Taylorsville by a count of 63-46.
With the victory, Quitman upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host South Jones (Ellisville, MS) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 28. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. South Jones won 50-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Petal (Petal, MS)
Next up, the Tartars play the Seminary Bulldogs (Seminary, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 28. Taylorsville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 68-45 non-league loss to Purvis (Purvis, MS).
