November 25, 2023: Ashton, IL 61006 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL) and the visiting Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL), saw Ashton-Franklin Center's basketball squad wallop Hiawatha by a tally of 44-9.
With the victory, Ashton-Franklin Center improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Eastland (Lanark, IL) to confront the Cougars in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South challenge on Monday, November 27. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Eastland lost 57-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 28. Hiawatha will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Sobos come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 44-39 non-league loss to Durand (Durand, IL).
