The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) and the visiting Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI), observed Standish-Sterling's basketball team overwhelm Alcona by a score of 70-30.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ithaca (Ithaca, MI). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Ithaca trounced Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI), 63-25, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Fairview Eagles (Fairview, MI) in a North Star challenge, on Monday, December 2. Alcona will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 51-45 league loss to Oscoda (Oscoda, MI).
