Missouri High School Basketball - University City bested by Granite City
November 25, 2025: St. Louis, MO 63130 Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) backers went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team overcome the host University City Lions (St. Louis, MO), 54-45 in a non-league contest.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL). The Explorers come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 28. University City will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 63-41 non-league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).
