Texas High School Basketball - Sulphur Springs can't hold off Van
November 25, 2025: Van, TX 75790 Van Vandals (Van, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX), 48-46 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Van advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Vandals travel to All Saints Episcopal (Tyler, TX) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Saturday, November 29. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 2-0. All Saints Episcopal won 62-38 in their recent non-league match against Winona (Winona, TX)
The Wildcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty-Eylau for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 2. Sulphur Springs will face a Leopards squad coming off a 64-50 non-league win over Woodlawn-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA). The Leopards record now stands at 3-0.
