Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA), 39-33 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Fremont advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Firebirds travel to Menlo School (Atherton, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, November 30. The Knights enter the match with a record of 1-0. Menlo School won 56-21 in their recent non-league battle against Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA)

The Longhorns now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palo Alto for a non-league battle on Monday, December 2. Leigh will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 56-21 non-league loss to Menlo School (Atherton, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
