In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Red Mountain Mountain Lions basketball team scored a close 62-58 win over the McClintock Chargers.

The Mountain Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Gilbert edged Independence (Glendale, AZ), 68-51, in a non-league contest.
