The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) and the host Triad Knights (Troy, IL), observed Mt. Vernon's basketball team edge Triad by a score of 48-42.

The Rams (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
