Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Carmel fells Oblong
November 27, 2021: Oblong, IL 62449 Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oblong Panthers (Oblong, IL), 45-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Golden Aces travel to Richland County (Olney, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Richland County won 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against St. Anthony (Effingham, IL)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Dieterich Movin Maroons (Dieterich, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 30. Oblong will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Movin Maroons come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 47-37 league loss to Altamont (Altamont, IL).
