November 27, 2023: Sour Lake, TX 77659 Goose Creek Memorial Patriots (Baytown, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX), 77-74 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Goose Creek Memorial upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots host Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Hawks play the West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Hardin-Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
