Virginia High School Basketball - Rock Ridge nips Sherando
November 28, 2022: Ashburn, VA 20148 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Rock Ridge Phoenix (Ashburn, VA) and the visiting Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA), saw Rock Ridge's basketball squad hold off Sherando by a tally of 57-52.
With the victory, Rock Ridge improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Potomac Falls (Sterling, VA) to play the Panthers in a Potomac challenge on Wednesday, November 30. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Warriors play the James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA) in a Northwestern challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Sherando will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 54-42 non-league loss to Freedom (South Riding, VA).
