Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Maplewood Rockets (Cortland, OH) and the visiting McDonald Blue Devils (McDonald, OH), saw Maplewood's basketball squad hold off McDonald by a tally of 28-25.

With the victory, Maplewood improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH) to confront the Lakers in a Northeastern challenge on Thursday, December 1. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
