Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH) and the visiting Riverside Pirates (De Graff, OH), saw Newton Local's basketball squad knock off Riverside by a tally of 48-28.

With the victory, Newton Local improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH) to play the Panthers in a Western Ohio challenge on Thursday, December 1. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Twin Valley South lost 59-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Milton-Union (West Milton, OH)

Next up, the Pirates play the Northridge Polar Bears (Dayton, OH) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Thursday, December 1. Riverside will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH).
