Indiana High School Basketball - Cowan can't hold off Elwood

November 28, 2023: Elwood, IN 46036

The Elwood Panthers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Cowan Blackhawks to 40 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Daleville for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Elwood will battle a Broncos team coming off a 51-50 league win over Monroe Central (Parker City, IN). The Broncos record now stands at 1-2.

The Blackhawks (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Tri-Central was nudged by Tipton (Tipton, IN), 80-34, in a non-league contest.
