Iowa High School Basketball - Knoxville fells Prairie City-Monroe
November 28, 2023: Knoxville, IA 50138 Knoxville Panthers (Knoxville, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA), 65-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Knoxville upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers host Cardinal (Eldon, IA) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Cardinal lost 62-61 in their recent non-league bout against Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout, on Friday, December 1. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 62-46 non-league loss to Panorama (Panora, IA).
