Virginia High School Basketball - McLean nips West Springfield
November 28, 2023: Springfield, VA 22152 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) and the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), saw McLean's basketball squad hold off West Springfield by a count of 43-36.
With the victory, McLean upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Meridian (Falls Church, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Meridian lost 49-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Langley (McLean, VA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Woodbridge Vikings (Woodbridge, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 30. West Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 62-51 non-league loss to Patriot (Nokesville, VA).
