November 28, 2023: Hull, IA 51239 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) and the host Western Christian Wolfpack (Hull, IA), saw Newell-Fonda's basketball squad wallop Western Christian by a tally of 77-39.
With the victory, Newell-Fonda improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to play the Rebels in a Twin Lakes challenge on Friday, December 1. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Sioux Central won 61-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA)
Next up, the Wolfpack play the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 2. Western Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Golden Bears come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 66-42 non-league win over Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA).
