November 28, 2023: Richland, MS 39218 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) and the host Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), saw Wesson's basketball squad hold off Richland by a tally of 48-47.
With the victory, Wesson improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to Salem (Tylertown, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Salem lost 57-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS)
Next up, the Rangers play the Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Richland will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 35-24 non-league win over Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS).
