Illinois High School Basketball - Providence-St. Mel holds off Walther Christian Academy
November 28, 2023: Chicago, IL 60624 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL), saw Providence-St. Mel's basketball squad hold off Walther Christian Academy by a tally of 53-47.
With the victory, Providence-St. Mel improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) to confront the Spartans in a challenge on Wednesday, November 29. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Broncos confront the Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Walther Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
