Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) and the visiting Weed Cougars (Weed, CA), saw Yreka's basketball squad hold off Weed by a tally of 62-57.

With the victory, Yreka improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Gridley (Gridley, CA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Gridley won 43-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Bear River (Grass Valley, CA)

Next up, the Cougars confront the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Weed will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
