The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) and the visiting Central Rockets (Burlington, IL), observed Sycamore's basketball team edge Central by a score of 62-56.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, North Boone tipped Morrison (Morrison, IL), 63-35, in a non-league battle.

The Rockets now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prairie Ridge for a Fox Valley battle on Wednesday, December 3. Central will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 62-43 non-league loss to Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 0-3.
