South Carolina High School Basketball - Strom Thurmond toppled by Marion
November 28, 2025: Johnston, SC 29832 Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC), 44-31 in a non-league contest.
The Swamp Foxes (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ben Lippen (Columbia, SC). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Ben Lippen topped Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC), 44-22, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rebels confront the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, December 2. Strom Thurmond will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Thoroughbreds enter the outing with a 2-0 record after their 38-31 non-league win over Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC).
